Having welcomed Eleanor Walper back to the company's jewelry department, Christie's has promoted her to the position of associate vice president and specialist at the company's Los Angeles office.
According to Christie's, Walper began her jewelry career there in 2014, the firm said last week. Later, she worked as a jewelry specialist for Bonhams, where she was most recently responsible for securing major jewelry consignments throughout the West Coast region.
Walper will be responsible for furthering the company's relationships with new clients on the west coast in her newly created position. It was in 2015 that she received her graduate gemologist certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
As mentioned by Christie's, the auction house first launched its Los Angeles office in April 2017 in response to an influx of new customers from the region.
