Christie’s said Monday that the top lot in the Jewels Online auction will be a round brilliant-cut diamond ring with an estimated value of $300,000 that has an E-color and SI2-clarity and weighs 11.46 carats. A total of more than 250 pieces are up for bid in the auction, which will run until February 9.
In addition to the above-mentioned items, there will be an emerald-cut diamond ring with an E-color, VVS1-clarity diamond weight of 5.06 carats that is expected to sell for at least $250,000. A round brilliant-cut, 5.21-carat, D-color, SI1-clarity diamond ring is expected to sell for up to $220,000 at the auction, while an emerald-cut, 5.05-carat, D-color, VS2-clarity diamond ring is expected to sell for up to $150,000 at the auction.
According to Christie’s, the auction will also include pieces from well-known jewelry houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Harry Winston, JAR, and Van Cleef & Arpels, as well as other lesser-known designers. A number of private collections will make their public debut at the auction. Jewels from the collection of Mimi Adler, a philanthropist and the late wife of Broadway producer Max Adler, as well as pieces from the collection of the wife of British politician Frederick Edward Guest and items from the collection of Countess Orietta Ascoli, will be auctioned off at the event.
