Diamond certification, also known as a diamond grading report, is that documentation. A Gemological Institute of America certificate is the most trusted form of diamond documentation.

A GIA certification is not the same as an appraisal. It’s the exact scientific blueprint of a diamond’s quality characteristics. The GIA certification ensures that your diamond is natural and has not undergone any treatment that you are unaware of to improve its color or clarity. The GIA certification provides the independent verification you require to feel confident in your diamond purchase.

The GIA is a research and educational institute that does not sell or represent diamond sellers. GIA, on the other hand, acts as an independent, impartial entity in assessing and disseminating comprehensive gem quality information.

There is a reason why the GIA Diamond Grading Report has become the global standard for diamond certification.

The GIA created the diamond grading scale and the famous 4Cs of diamond quality. Because GIA is a non-profit organization, customers can be confident that their diamonds will be analyzed in the most objective and accurate manner possible. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) operates nine gemological laboratories around the world.

GIA is the world’s leading gemological education institution, in addition to certifying diamonds and gems. Over the course of its more than 85-year history, the Institute has educated over 365,000 professionals worldwide. All of the other gemological laboratories use the GIA grading system and have gemologists and graders who have received GIA training.

The GIA certification provides independent, unbiased scientific verification of the diamond’s quality. Diamond quality differences can be so subtle that even a jeweler cannot identify them without lab verification. Insist on GIA certification for any diamond you purchase.

Your GIA diamond certificate will be in good hands. Some of the world’s most famous diamonds have been graded by GIA laboratories, including the 45.52-carat Hope Diamond, the 273.85-carat De Beers Centenary Diamond, and the 69.42-carat Taylor-Burton Diamond.

One of the most basic features of the GIA certificate is also one of the most important: the report number. The GIA has an online service called Report Check that functions similarly to a block chain for diamond certificates. You can enter the number on your certificate to view the data from your report online directly from the GIA, ensuring that the report hasn’t been tampered with or misrepresented.

The GIA certificate number is frequently engraved on the diamond’s girdle, allowing you to confirm that your diamond matches the grading report. A diamond loupe or a gemological microscope can be used to read the GIA report number.

The GIA Diamond Grading Report, GIA Diamond Dossier, GIA Diamond Focus Report, and GIA Colored Stone Identification Report are among the diamond certification services provided by GIA. GIA grades only unmounted diamonds to ensure accuracy and consistency. The price is determined by the size of the diamond and the type of report.

The GIA certification also confirms whether your diamond is natural or lab grown, as well as whether it has been treated or not.

The standard GIA Diamond Grading Report is a comprehensive printed assessment of the quality of natural D-to-Z color diamonds weighing 0.15 carats or more, based on the four Cs of diamond grading: color, cut, clarity, and carat weight. This GIA certification comes with a plotting diagram of the diamond’s unique clarity characteristics, such as inclusions and blemishes. A small additional fee is required for the inscription of the report number on the diamond’s girdle. A one-carat diamond’s full certification costs $105 plus $15 for inscribing the report number on the girdle.

Nissan, David and his team were extremely accommodating, understanding and patient with our purchase. They took the upmost care to find the best solution for our needs and went above and beyond normal ‘customer service’ standards. I have absolutely no qualms recommending their products and services. Both were absolutely flawless. I will continue to sing them praises and will most definitely purchase from them again in the future. Thank you again!

Bought a beautiful stone here for an engagement ring. I was a little apprehensive since you’re buying something unseen. But Cid made it easy. In fact, Nissan, the owner also gave a call to make me more comfortable. They sent me the stone to take to a local jeweler with only my Amex in case I bailed on them.
