Sarine announced Monday that it will integrate its Sarine Advisor software with Synova’s DaVinci Diamond Factory, which automates all cutting, shaping, and faceting stages into a single process, allowing for greater efficiency. Customers who already own Sarine’s diamond-planning tool can upgrade to include Synova’s technology at no additional cost.
During the Dubai Diamond Conference on Monday, Sarine signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a technology provider that is owned in part by De Beers.
According to Sarine CEO David Block, “[This] will benefit our mutual customers by further streamlining the supply chain and reducing costs and costly errors,”
The DaVinci system is capable of cutting rough diamonds weighing up to 0.25 carats in weight as well as fancy shapes.
