Band in the Cathedral Style
Because the band of a cathedral setting is attached at the stems and at the basket, rather than ONLY at the stems, you will find that this gives the ring a more secure feeling than other types of settings do. Bezel Set Center Stone
Bezel set rings typically do not have any prongs on the ring and instead have a metal rim that surrounds the center stone of the ring. Because of this, the prongs, which were one of the most jagged parts of the center stone, have been removed, making the stones an excellent choice for anyone who wants something that is softer and more “baby proof.”
