The quantity and position of inclusions in a diamond are measured by the clarity grade, which ranges from Flawless to Included. An inclusion is an internal or exterior feature or defect that arises naturally during the creation of diamonds on Earth. The majority of diamonds include inclusions that are difficult to see without a magnifying glass.

When assessing the diamond clarity, professionals use a microscope with a 10x magnification and eye vision to examine the diamond when it is face up. However, a greater magnification than 10x will be needed to detect any diamond inclusions. Otherwise, determining it may be too complicated.

Here are some things to think about while choosing your ideal clarity rate.

Flawless Diamonds

A diamond with a clarity grading of FL-IF or VVS is likely to appeal to those who want a diamond with few or no imperfections. These high-quality diamonds have a near-perfect look, despite their greater price.

Choosing Very Slight Inclusions (VS)

While still of good quality, diamonds with a clarity rating of VS will be less expensive than those with higher clarity ratings. Inclusions that are invisible to the naked eye will be found in VS diamonds.

Size

The size of the inclusion is significant because the larger the inclusion, the greater the influence on the clarity grade of the diamond. Diamonds in the SI3-I1 clarity range are ideal for those looking for big carat weights at a reduced price. Without magnification, inclusions in these stones are generally visible.

Nature

The sort of inclusion is all that matters when it comes to the nature of the inclusion. It also covers the diamond’s depth and any other features discovered inside it. A blemish, rather than an inclusion, is anything that is just on the diamond’s surface and has not pierced the diamond.

Number

When multiple distinct clarity qualities are present in a diamond, the clarity grade will be significantly lower.

Location

The position of a diamond’s inclusions has a major influence on the clarity grading of the stone. Internal and external features buried near a diamond’s side facets detract from its attractiveness less than flaws and imperfections in the diamond’s core. If the inclusion is near to the girdle, which is further away from the central table, it may be more difficult to spot. Inclusions near the diamond’s pavilions can reflect, and the facets will function as mirrors, allowing the inclusion to be mirrored. If you can see the inclusion if you look past the culet, the inclusion will have a considerably less influence on the diamond’s clarity rating. Due to the diamond’s form, dimensions, and facet arrangement, some clarity traits may be partly concealed or even accentuated.

The most common error individuals make when purchasing diamonds is purchasing a diamond with a clarity grade that is just too high to appreciate in order to acquire a “good investment.”

Nissan, David and his team were extremely accommodating, understanding and patient with our purchase. They took the upmost care to find the best solution for our needs and went above and beyond normal ‘customer service’ standards. I have absolutely no qualms recommending their products and services. Both were absolutely flawless. I will continue to sing them praises and will most definitely purchase from them again in the future. Thank you again!

Bought a beautiful stone here for an engagement ring. I was a little apprehensive since you’re buying something unseen. But Cid made it easy. In fact, Nissan, the owner also gave a call to make me more comfortable. They sent me the stone to take to a local jeweler with only my Amex in case I bailed on them.
