If you are currently shopping for a diamond engagement ring or if you are in the market to upgrade your current diamond engagement ring, the most important thing is to get the right size. This will result in you and also your partner being happy when wearing it. Make sure to get measured, but how do you know how your finger will change in size? What if your hands and fingers swell during hot season? If this happens, or if there are other factors that should be considered, contact us right away. Get the right fit and make sure that the diamond engagement ring is not too tight or too loose. Find out more in this blog post.

Get the ring professionally measured.

Your jeweler can do this for you, and it’s a good idea to have it sized every time you get a new ring. That way, if anything happens to your ring, you’ll be able to get an exact replacement. Many jewelers offer this service, which involves sending the ring back to them so they can measure your finger with calipers or using one of their tools like a sizing gauge. This can be helpful if you’re purchasing an engagement ring because it will ensure that it fits perfectly before making any final decisions about style or type of stone. Some jewelers will even allow you to try on different styles of rings in order to narrow down which one works best for you and your partner’s preferences (or just for yourself).

Use a ring sizer.

A ring sizer or sizing kit can help you find out if your ring is too small or too big. These kits generally come with several sizes of plastic rings for different fingers (including thumbs) and an adjustable metal “stretchy” ring that you can slip over one finger to measure its diameter. Be sure to read the manufacturer’s instructions before using any kit.

Measure your fingers at different times of day.

When we are cold, our fingers tend to be smaller than when we’re warm. When you take your measurements, make sure you do it at the same time each day. For example, measure your fingers before breakfast, after lunch and before dinner so you can see how much they change throughout the day.

Many people are surprised when they find out that their fingers can change size throughout the day. The best time to measure your finger is at the end of the day when your body temperature has dropped and your fingers have returned to normal size after having been swollen from eating and drinking throughout the day. You should also measure at night because your fingers are likely to be smaller then than during the day when they have been swollen from heat and activity.

Measure your finger size when it’s warm.

Warm hands tend to be larger than cold hands, so take the measurement when your fingers are warm (not cold). To make sure your fingers are at their largest, try taking the measurement after a hot shower or bath.

Consider how tight your ring should be.

The best way to determine how tight a ring should be is by considering the type of metal and setting you have chosen. For example, if you are purchasing a diamond solitaire engagement ring with a platinum band, it will likely need to be tighter than one with a white gold band or one with an accent of diamonds on the side. The reason for this is that platinum has a higher tensile strength than gold and can handle more stress than any other metal used in jewelry production (with the exception of tungsten carbide). Therefore, if you choose a platinum band with diamonds around the sides, it may not fit as tightly as you would like it too if you were to purchase a plain white gold band without any accents around the edges because platinum can withstand more pressure than gold and thus requires less room for expansion when worn daily.

In addition to checking for movement within the band itself, look at how much space there is between the band and your finger. This will indicate how loose or tight the ring is overall. It shouldn’t be so loose that it slides off easily — but if it’s too tight, it can cause discomfort as well as injury to your finger over time by cutting off circulation or causing calluses to form on skin underneath where pressure is applied by tightly fitted bands that are not meant for wearing 24/7 (as with any other jewelry).

Final Thought: Your future wife will love her ring if it fits her correctly!

If you found this article helpful, then I’d love it if you shared it with your future wife. Words of advice for men about to get engaged: make sure you get the ring size right! After all, a woman’s engagement ring is one of her most significant pieces of jewelry. It represents a big commitment and should fit well. But remember that a size 6 may not be the same as a size 7. Talk to her friends or family members who have gotten engaged in the past to find out what sizes they were. And if she doesn’t have any sisters to ask, then check out our online guide here for help on finding the perfect fit for your future bride!

Nissan, David and his team were extremely accommodating, understanding and patient with our purchase. They took the upmost care to find the best solution for our needs and went above and beyond normal ‘customer service’ standards. I have absolutely no qualms recommending their products and services. Both were absolutely flawless. I will continue to sing them praises and will most definitely purchase from them again in the future. Thank you again!

Bought a beautiful stone here for an engagement ring. I was a little apprehensive since you’re buying something unseen. But Cid made it easy. In fact, Nissan, the owner also gave a call to make me more comfortable. They sent me the stone to take to a local jeweler with only my Amex in case I bailed on them.
