Colored Diamonds

Natural diamonds are frequently seen as the gleaming colorless or white jewels that people have coveted for thousands of years. Many people overlook the fact that certain factors, such as the internal entrapment of non-carbon atoms or variations in pressure, can affect a diamond's creation. This produces “fancy colored diamonds,” which are diamonds of virtually every hue in the rainbow. This natural occurrence is one of nature's rarest and most stunning sights.

1. Yellow Diamonds

The majority of diamonds we see contain some nitrogen, but only enough to give otherwise colorless gems yellow hues. At reality, the most typical color grading system for diamonds is D to Z; D is colorless, while Z has enough nitrogen in the correct spot to give the diamond noticeable color. Only one carat out of every 10,000 carats produced is a genuine fancy color diamond, but the yellow diamond has grown in favor due to its brilliant brilliance and comparatively inexpensive costs. In fact, most people consider them to be the most popular diamond hue.

2. Pink Diamonds

Unlike other fancy colored diamonds, the hue of pink diamonds is not created by chemical impurities. Aside from red diamonds, the pink diamond is one of the rarest colored diamonds on the market. Pink diamonds, unlike other naturally colored diamonds, acquire their color through a process known as plastic deformation. Extreme pressure is required to compress the diamond's crystal structure in such a way that red light is reflected. The diamond's hue becomes more saturated as the plastic deformation becomes more severe. This makes achieving a high clarity grade and carat size more challenging.

3. Green Diamonds

The color green, which is generated by atomic radiation or radioactivity, is one of a kind. Green diamonds are also the only fancy color diamonds that get their hue after a long journey near the Earth's surface. Many people have never seen a diamond with a natural green hue, and those who have seen one have almost certainly seen it in a museum exhibit.

4. Blue Diamonds

Blue diamonds are among the rarest and most fascinating diamonds known to science, as they are formed only when the natural element boron is trapped inside their crystal structure. Boron impurities give natural blue diamonds their hue. Some blue diamonds can conduct electricity due to the presence of boron. Trace quantities of boron corrupt the crystalline lattice structure, turning them blue.
