Diamonds cut in the shape of a pear are among the most intriguing diamond shapes available. In the same way that all other fancy shape diamonds are available in a variety of length to width ratios, so are they (short and wide to long and narrow). All of them have rounded tops that taper down on the edges to a distinct point at the bottom tip of the body. As shown in the attached photo, there are three different options, with the one on the left being long and narrow, the one in the middle being wider and shorter, and the one on the right being in the middle and having the most classic of the shapes, with a length to width ratio of approximately 1.50:1.

There is no clear-cut answer as to which one is “better,” and the decision ultimately comes down to the preferences of the client. Each individual pear shape diamond is one-of-a-kind, and at Diamond Registry, we offer a wide variety of cuts to suit your needs. Some people prefer the longer one because it will provide you with more finger coverage, while others prefer the wider ones because they will give you a more fuller appearance. However you look at it, pear shape diamonds are absolutely stunning, and while some may consider them to be a classic or older style, they have recently experienced a resurgence, as seen most notably in our custom halo design. rs-60 in a pear-shape We’ve been busy creating some stunning rings in our micropave halo design, such as the RS-60 ring available on our website. With its delicate band, this ring really brings the center stone to the forefront and makes the wearer’s hand appear very attractive. Allow us to assist you in selecting the ideal pear shape diamond.

Nissan, David and his team were extremely accommodating, understanding and patient with our purchase. They took the upmost care to find the best solution for our needs and went above and beyond normal ‘customer service’ standards. I have absolutely no qualms recommending their products and services. Both were absolutely flawless. I will continue to sing them praises and will most definitely purchase from them again in the future. Thank you again!

Rush orders, international shipping, upgrade service, jewelry repair, large diamonds, small items, precious stones. Very honest and open information to the clients. You will feel like talking to a friend.

Bought a beautiful stone here for an engagement ring. I was a little apprehensive since you’re buying something unseen. But Cid made it easy. In fact, Nissan, the owner also gave a call to make me more comfortable. They sent me the stone to take to a local jeweler with only my Amex in case I bailed on them.
