A diamond engagement ring is a special gift, and the engagement ring you choose should reflect your relationship and your personality. Be sure to consult with an experienced jeweler who can help you find the best diamond for your budget and your taste.

Diamonds are the traditional choice for engagement rings. But, you don’t have to be an expert to choose a diamond ring that she’ll love and cherish forever! We’ve put together this guide to help you understand some of the most important aspects of diamond engagement rings.

Choose a diamond shape. When it comes to diamond shapes, one thing is certain: round brilliant is the most popular shape out there. For this reason, many people have never considered any other diamond shape. However, a round brilliant alone might not be the best fit for your engagement ring or wedding band design. You should also consider choosing another shape if you want something that stands apart from the crowd and makes a statement in its own unique way—like an emerald cut or oval cut (also called cushion).

The most important thing you need to know about selecting a diamond’s shape is avoiding sharp points at all costs. It’s true that some sharp points look very pretty in pictures but they are actually quite dangerous when worn as jewelry because they can scratch surfaces easily (think of how much damage could be done if someone accidentally bumped into them with their elbow). So unless you want your new engagement ring to end up looking like Swiss cheese after two months, stay away from any square-cut diamonds with pointed corners!

Cut. Cut refers to the angles, proportions and symmetry of the diamond. The cut is one of the most important factors in determining a diamond’s sparkle. It also makes a difference of thousands of dollars!

A cut grade ranges from poor (poor) to excellent (excellent). A diamond will have more brilliance and scintillation when it has an excellent cut, but even an average-quality diamond can be made to look better by selecting the right shape for your ring.

The most popular shapes are round brilliant, princess cut and cushion shaped diamonds.

Color. Color is a measurement of the absence of color, with zero degrees representing a perfect colorless diamond. The scale ranges from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow).

Colorless diamonds are considered rare and therefore more valuable than diamonds with color. This is because they have a higher refractive index, which means that light travels through them faster than through other types of gems or materials (such as glass). The higher their refractive index, the less light will be reflected back to your eye—and thus you’ll see even more sparkle!

Clarity. Clarity refers to the number, size and placement of inclusions (blemishes) in a diamond. Inclusions may include crystals, feathers and clouds. Inclusions can be hidden by the setting on the ring’s band, but they can affect the price of a diamond. If you’re looking for an engagement ring with little or no flaws, opt for one that has been certified by GIA (the Gemological Institute of America).

Consider your girl’s finger size. The most important thing to consider when looking for a diamond engagement ring is the size of your girl’s finger. If you don’t know her ring finger size, there are two options. You can go with a slightly loose fit (which is fine as long as it isn’t so loose that the ring falls off) or go with a slightly bigger size than normal. The latter option will give you more flexibility and make it easier to adjust the ring in case she becomes pregnant or gains weight after you get married.

When choosing something like this, it’s always best not to overthink what would make someone happy—but if they do happen to love diamonds and sparkly things, they’ll probably be thrilled!

Choose an engagement ring setting. When choosing an engagement ring setting, you should be sure to consider its style and durability. The setting should match the style of the ring and also match your fiancée’s personal taste. A good engagement ring setting will be strong and secure, ensuring that your fiancée can wear it without fear of losing her center stone.

Finally, consider how comfortable she will feel wearing her new piece of jewelry on a daily basis—and make sure the setting doesn’t cause any irritation or discomfort.

You should always consult with an experienced jeweler. A jeweler can tell you how much a diamond will cost and help you decide what kind of ring to buy, but they won’t know everything about diamonds. You should also get a second opinion before deciding on the perfect engagement ring for your loved one.

Knowing what kind of diamond quality you want is important, as well as knowing the price range in which you are comfortable buying from. Some people prefer diamonds that have imperfections (like natural inclusions), while others only want flawless diamonds without any imperfections at all.

Nissan, David and his team were extremely accommodating, understanding and patient with our purchase. They took the upmost care to find the best solution for our needs and went above and beyond normal ‘customer service’ standards. I have absolutely no qualms recommending their products and services. Both were absolutely flawless. I will continue to sing them praises and will most definitely purchase from them again in the future. Thank you again!

Bought a beautiful stone here for an engagement ring. I was a little apprehensive since you’re buying something unseen. But Cid made it easy. In fact, Nissan, the owner also gave a call to make me more comfortable. They sent me the stone to take to a local jeweler with only my Amex in case I bailed on them.
