The Sotheby’s auction on 4 October 2016 in Hong Kong has a very interesting line-up of magnificent jewels and jadeite. Spectacular diamonds, gemstones, natural pearls and jadeite will appear at the show including the extraordinary Kasmir Sapphire ring. “The Pride of Kashmir” Estimated price of $3.8 million to $5.8 million

An exceptional and very rare sapphire and diamond ring called “The Pride of Kashmir” is the top lot of Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong. The oval sapphire in the center of the ring is 20.22-carats and flanked by two trilliant-cut diamonds. The ring with 3¾ ring size is platinum and has at the same time 18 karat yellow gold around the blue sapphire.
As shared on the Sotheby’s website the catalogue note says that the sapphire is accompanied by Gübelin, SSEF and GIA reports numbered 15105176, 83588 and 1172540567, dated 26 October 2015, 12 January 2016 and 29 March 2016 respectively, stating that the 20.22 carat sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. GIA and SSEF also state that the color of this sapphire may also be called ‘royal blue’ in the trade and based on SSEF reference standards. The SSEF letter further stating that ‘it exhibits a remarkable size and weight of 20.225- carat combined with a highly attractive color and an outstanding purity. Based on these excellent qualities, this gem has been poetically named The Pride of Kashmir.’ Also accompanied by the SSEF folio report and Gübelin gemological profile.

Magnificent Diamond Necklace Estimated price of $5.4 million to $6.2 million

The royal yet elegant diamond platinum necklace has nine pear-shaped diamonds from 14.93 to 2.04 carat. In addition, it has a supported row of circular-cut pear-shaped diamonds with a total 177.51-carats. It has been created by Harry Winston and is accompanied by nine GIA reports. The diamonds are all graded D-color, which is the highest possible color for a diamond and is at the same time Internally flawless. In addition, the necklace is accompanied by seven diamond type classification reports stating the diamonds are type IIa diamonds. The IIa type of diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamonds and often-exceptional optical transparency.

Important Emerald and Diamond Demi Parure Necklace

The necklace with amazing appearance is set with three graduated step-cut emeralds of 12-carat, 10.14 carat, and 6.91 carats. Furthermore, the necklace has smaller step-cut-emeralds and diamonds. The 12 carat and 10.14 carat are graded natural and from Colombian origin.
The necklace is accompanied with matching earrings. The earrings each have a step-cut emerald in the center and diamonds. The emeralds are all together 20.25 carat and the diamonds a weight of 50.84 carats.
Both emeralds have Gübelin reports one numbered 12040090 and the other 0511157. The reports are dated 18 April 2012 and 5 December 2005. If that is not enough reports sixteen GIA reports more come with the necklace stating that the diamonds weighing from 3.04 to 0.80 carats are D to G color and VVS2 to VS2 clarity.

Black Onyx Pearls and Diamond necklace

This very rare natural pearl, diamond, and the black onyx necklace is accompanied by an SSEF report numbered 87097 showing that the forty-one pears are natural saltwater pearls. The unique grey pearls measure approximately 14.85 to 5.85mm alternating with faceted diamond beads and black onyx rondelles.
The necklace is completed by a marquise shaped diamond platinum clasp of 11-carat.
In the world of all pearls, natural black pearls are the rarest and have been the prized possession of the world’s royalty and nobility.
