The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has appointed Sam Broekema as editor in chief of Only Natural Diamonds, the organization's consumer-facing website. Broekema previously served as editor in chief of Only Natural Diamonds.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) announced last week that Broekema will begin serving in the newly created position on February 28. Among his responsibilities will be to oversee the platform's content strategy and to manage its annual trend report, which he will do by assembling a panel of retail, fashion, and media experts to form the platform's style collective.
The most recent position held by Broekema was that of fashion market and accessories director at InStyle, a women's fashion magazine. Throughout his editorial career, he has been a "diamond-jewelry devotee and expert," according to the National Diamond Council.
“I am honored to become the first editor of Only Natural Diamonds,” Broekema expressed his gratitude. “I am excited to conceptualize what both modern and heirloom jewelry mean for consumers now, and celebrate the long and rich history of diamonds in culture, fashion, and the arts.”
