If you were ever looking for a diamond pen, Montblanc made one covered in it. The diamond pen includes a bangle and a clip. But to make it even more unique the pen has a detachable spider that is paved with diamonds that can be worn on the bangle or as a tie pin or brooch.
The diamond pen is called the Montblanc’s high artistry heritage Spider Metamorphosis limited edition 1 white gold. It does come with a price tag of 14.5 million Hong Kong Dollars. The pen is hand engraved and polished with a three-dimensional spider’s web motif. In addition, the pen is covered in 13 carats of diamonds. But to top it off the solid white gold cap and barrel are also set with pave diamonds.
The reason for this pen creation
To celebrate the art of writing. And because Paul Valéry and Francis Ponge, acclaimed authors in the late 18th and early 20th century featured spiders in their writing, this pen does too. The first spider-inspired pen from Montblanc was launched in the 1920s.
