For the planned diamond and jewelry auction on June 10, Christie’s will offer more than 220 special items of diamond jewelry for sale, including few very rare loose diamonds. The auction house is expecting to achieve a total amount of $20 million, adding to the $320 million already achieved during the spring jewelry auction sales that took place across the globe. The auction will feature colored as well as colorless diamonds, natural pearls and a beautiful rare selection of signed jewelry.
The sale will feature highlights such as the Van Cleef & Arpels polished diamond and sapphire zip necklace estimated at $250,000 – $350,000. A D color rectangular cut diamond by Taffin estimated to sell between $2,400,000 and $3,200,000. And a beautiful long chain necklace with over 100 carats of diamonds estimated between $700,000 and $1,500,000. The colored diamonds category will feature a very rare Oval Cut fancy vivid pink diamond of 5.5 carat, estimated between $6,500,000 and $7,500,000 as well as a rectangular cut fancy intense greenish blue diamond of 5.02 carat with an estimated range between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000.
