At Christie’s Hong Kong a rare diamond ring will lead the auction. The Christie’s Magnificent Jewels is on May 28 in Hong Kong featuring notable items from which the ‘bubble gum’ diamond is the highlight of all.
Bubble Gum Diamond Ring
The diamond ring is featured with a rare fancy-vivid-purplish-pink cushion cut diamond of 3.44 carat. The cushion cut diamond is graded IF, what stands for internally flawless. This diamond clarity grade stands for no inclusions and only blemishes that are visible to a skilled grader using a 10x magnification.
The pink colored cushion cut diamond is surrounded by pear-shaped pink diamonds and white marquise cut diamonds. Creating a diamond ring with a unique appearance.
The experts expect the ‘bubble gum’ diamond ring to fetch around $6 million to $8 million USD. The high price is due to the design of the ring and the use of large rare colored diamonds.
“This collection of some of the most prized gems is bound to draw strong interest from collectors around the world.” The striking centerpieces of Christie’s spring sales include both fancy-vivid-blue and pink diamonds, as well as one of the finest emeralds ever to come to auction,” said Vickie Sek, chairman of Christie’s jewelry for Asia.
