The autumn season begins with “The Colours of Fall Silent Auction for Diamonds”, held by Genesis Rare Diamonds on November 8 and 9, 2014. The loose diamond auction features over 200 fancy color diamonds as well as fancy color diamond jewelry. The show will exhibit the rarity and beauty of fancy color diamonds to the prospective diamond buyers.
The diamond auction’s highlights include the 1.01 carat fancy intense pink diamond, set in a platinum ring shouldered by Canadian white diamonds; a 1.04 carat fancy vivid purple diamond mounted on a 18 karat golden ring, shouldered by white princess cut diamonds; and the beautiful 6.08 carat fancy yellow green diamond mounted onto an 18 karat golden ring shouldered by white diamonds.
In recent auctions, many white and fancy color diamonds have fetched record-breaking prices and the interest in loose diamonds and fancy color diamonds increases amongst investment institutions. Recently, a 118.28 carat white loose diamond sold for $30 million and Sotheby’s set a record in Hong Kong with an 8 carat pink diamond.
