Important Diamonds on the Block October Sales at Major Auction Houses

The major gem and jewelry auctions are set for New York in October. Both Christie’s and Sotheby’s are headlining their annual auctions with rare stones:
At Sotheby’s (auction to held on Oct. 16 in New York):
A diamond ring with an emerald-cut 27.07-carat, D color, internally flawless stone
An 11.19-carat, D color, flawless diamond ring
Two pendants set with a pear-shaped diamond of fancy intense blue color weighing 4.13 carats and a pear-shaped diamond of fancy purplish pink color weighing 4.15 carats. The blue stone is Fancy Intense Blue, Natural Color and Internally Flawless, the other is Fancy Purplish Pink, Natural Color, VVS2 clarity.
At Christie’s (auction to be held on Oct. 15 in New York):
A rectangular-cut fancy pink diamond, natural color, internally flawless, weighing approximately 34.08 carats.
The Kimberley Diamond, a 55.08 carat, emerald cut, fancy yellow, natural color, VS1 clarity stone named after the Kimberly mine.
